For the tofu, wrap it tightly in a kitchen towel, then set some stable, heavy objects on top of it to press the moisture out – or use a tofu press – for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in the tofu container, whisk together tamari, water, sesame oil, vinegar, agave nectar, garlic powder, and ginger to make the marinade.
Once tofu is pressed, cut it into 1/2-inch cubes, and place it in the tofu container with marinade, then place it in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes, but this can also be done overnight. Once marinated, preheat oven to 375F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place cubes on roughly 1/2 of the baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, making sure not to discard remaining marinade.
While tofu is roasting, start the rice: To make the rice in a multicooker, combine 1 2/3 cups water, rice, rice vinegar, and salt in a multicooker and bring to high pressure, cook for 19 minutes, let sit for 5 minutes, then quick-release the rest of the pressure.
To make the rice on the stovetop: Combine 3 cups water, rice, rice vinegar, and salt in a pot, bring to a boil, then adjust heat to medium-low and simmer, with vented lid, until rice is tender, and liquid is absorbed, 30 to 35 minutes.
After rice is set up to cook, in a large mixing bowl combine broccoli, red onion, Watson’s Furikake Seasoning, and olive oil, tossing to make sure everything is evenly coated. After the tofu has roasted 20 minutes, flip the cubes, then spread broccoli mixture out on other half of baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until there are blackened edges on the florets.
While the veggies and tofu are roasting, strain remaining marinade to get any tofu pieces out, and combine it with tahini, hoisin, and salt, if necessary; whisking until smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings to preference.
To assemble bowls, divide rice, broccoli mix, and tofu between four bowls, garnish with Furikake Seasoning, and sauce, serving while warm. This can also be made as meal prep and will last in air-tight containers for up to 7 days.
